Sorry, the joke is too obscure for me. I don't see how that has anything to do with my request that you use a smaller image in the initial post.

Okay, so no more Tape Walk-men. But the brand continues, right? I love my Minidisc Walkman (Damn, I feel old now. I haven't used that word since 1996), and Sony's MP3 players are the bomb. Their Digital Amp must be heard to be believed.

For a moment, I thought that Sony was pulling out of the portable audio market. Apple must not reign supreme. Ever.

Yeah the name is being retired. At least for now.

No smaller image. That guy begs to be seen in ultra-size.

Do the AM and FM tuner cassettes work in other tape players?

No, its proprietary to this Besser unit. There are contacts inside powering up the cassette FM PCB. No extra batteries needed for the FM cassette, pretty slick design! A slide switch on the "Walkman" portion cuts off the tape motor and turns on power to the tuner to save on the batteries. The base also powers everything with larger C batteries or AC connection. A lot of foresight in design of this off the wall brand.

An old teacher of mine had an Aiwa setup like that with the detachable portable tape player.
