Re: Super Meat Boy!
This just got released on Steam yesterday - I played for a few hours last night, I love it!
Re: Super Meat Boy!
I played it with the keyboard. I thought that with a controller would be better, but the keyboard felt very unresponsive. I tried to use my PS2 controller with a USB adapter, but no luck. Anyway, maybe I'll get a generic controller sometime.
Edit: Might be just an impression, but after the update, the game seemed to play much better with the keyboard. Well, I'm still not playing it a lot, since I have other stuff I want to finish and the game has quite a few bugs they need to iron out.

Re: Super Meat Boy!
Man this game is addictive. Me and a friend were trying to beat that -1 level in the first world for about an hour+ before finally prevailing. Also playing the Steam version with an X360 pad seems to feel quite nice. Even though the dpad sucks for fighters it seems ok for platformers.
Re: Super Meat Boy!
I just started the Steam version. It is a lot of fun.
Who are the unlockable characters from other indie titles? So far I have heard of Gish, the N+ Ninja, Runman, and Tofu Boy (from the PETA spoof project). Any others?

Re: Super Meat Boy!
I have heard there are characters from
SPOILERS
World of Goo, Minecraft, VVVVVV, Aquaria, Mighty Jill-Off and Machinarium in the PC/Mac version. I was under the impression that Gish and the ninja had been removed though, and were xbox exclusives.

Re: Super Meat Boy!
Wiki has a list of all the characters and which version they are in.

If you like SMB, I highly suggest Jumper (1,2 and 3), Ogmo is featured in SMB.

Apparently the Wiiware port has been cancelled due to size constraints.

Kotaku wrote:The creators of PC and Xbox 360 hit Super Meat Boy have aborted the game's WiiWare release, saying they're unable to fit a quality version of the game under the size limit Nintendo imposes on titles for the download service.
Team Meat's struggles to pare down Super Meat Boy delayed its originally planned November release. The indie developer said it was able to get the file to 50 megabytes then, but 40 megabytes is the WiiWare cap, and the sacrifices made to get the game there left creators Edmund McMillen and Tommy Refenes unhappy with the game's quality.
"It's mostly music," McMillen told Kotaku this evening. "We got it close to 40 (MB), but we only have five music tracks, one retro and one boss, and no cutscene music. ... The cut scenes might as well not be there, and if you beat the game, I'm sure you know the final cutscene needs a musical score, to have any impact at all."
