It was a challenging and fun game in the vein of Castlevania for gameboy.

Was it a port of Shadow of the Beast for the Genesis? I've got a copy of it and I agree it is a rather challenging game.

A shame Lynx didn't couldn't compete with Gameboy. A bright backlit color screen vs the dim pea green front lit screen of the Gameboy. Atari name was already killed by the NES.

Looking over the entire library Loopz and Blockout stand out, a great puzzlers!
Hey! Robotron, Centipede, Qix and Steel Talons are in there too!

Damn, I should have bought one back then.

There is the list from Atariage and most of the games have a multi-review so you can see what they think. My recommended titles are:
Ninja Gaiden - Arcade port!
Cali Games - Surfing, best pack in EVAH (next to GB Tetris, of course)
Rampage - Can play it for hours
T-Tris - it's f'n Tetris (if you can track it down)
Toki - simple, solid arc port.

$5-10 carts: Blue Lightning, Klax, Joust, Stun Runner, Xybots, Rygar, Warbirds

My personal collection if you had question on other specific titles.

How hard is Raiden to find for this system? I've been looking around ebay and some other stores with little luck. Haven't tried the AtariAge forums yet but I know they list it as a 7 for rarity.

If anyone is interested, I have loose copies of Chip's Challenge and California Games. Sorry, I don't have Raiden.

I recently moved to the east side of the Phoenix valley area nearly a month ago. There's a used books and media store called Bookmans in Mesa and I just visited there last night. HUGE Atari Lynx selection, cart-only! I picked up Gauntlet 3, Rygar, and Joust. I don't even remember Joust being on the console! I already had a lot of the games they had for sale there, but I wish I had taken a picture with my cell phone of the selection there. I may go back next weekend. Including the three I bought, they had about 20 Lynx games for sale there.
