Not sure this game ever did receive a US release. I don't even recall there being a title screen for this game, but I'm sure there was no intro or any text in the game itself.

Edit: Additionally, noiseredux (or indeed anyone here), if you are ever after any Japan-exclusive games just drop me a message. I visit a lot of recycle shops here in Japan every week.

Oh yes, Mercinary Force is great. A bit tough. But good stuff.

The first screen of Dungeon Land is the most similar looking one so far.

I remember now that the crosses in the game were used as a kind of door that allowed you to enter an area with monsters and at the same time keep the monsters in that area from coming out. It's possible that the main knight character could not attack at all and could only avoid these enemies.
