Re: Which current system do you think has the best game library
I think the DS has the biggest and most well-rounded library of games this generation. There were several new series that were born on the system: Phoenix Wright [Yes, I know it was on the GBA first, but elsewhere, it is a DS franchise], Ouendan, Professor Layton, Trauma Center, Cooking Mama, and a couple other smaller series, as well.

You can go ahead and add the Dementium series to that.lisalover1 wrote:I think the DS has the biggest and most well-rounded library of games this generation. If I added every new series that was born on the DS to that list, it would be way too long. I just looked at some ones that had 3 or more games in the series, and started on the DS. I'm sure I forgot a couple good series, though.Opa Opa wrote:You can go ahead and add the Dementium series to that.lisalover1 wrote:I think the DS has the biggest and most well-rounded library of games this generation. I voted for ds, but Wii was sooo close. I agree with Zero about fps being good on it. I wish there was the option to vote twice...

I voted DS because I don't think you can deny how many great games there are for the system. If it had been the 3 home consoles only, I would've voted for the Wii though. Strange to me that 360 was highest on that other poll, I find many more PS3 games appealing. PSP is a console with some real gems too, but they seem fewer and further between than the DS.

Well all I can say is that I own a DS and a PSP, and I've spent much more time and money on the PSP despite hearing people say for years that the DS has a waaaay better libraryZeroAX wrote:I really don't understand how a system having many crappy games affects your decision. If it only had crappy games then I would understand it, but the DS has soooooo many gems.
Besides, if we took away the pretty graphics, how many PS3/360 games would be really good? About the same ratio as the DS imo.
It is only the Wii that gets so much miss treatment from 3rd parties

absolutely. I can accept that plenty of people would prefer the PSP. I think the PSP has some very unique games in some genres. Specially RPGs. But overall I find the DS's library more complete

I think the PSP's best years were very early on, when developers didn't know exactly what to do with the system, and a lot of unique, oddball titles were made for it.ZeroAX wrote:Gamerforlife wrote:

i agree with this. you take away the graphics and all you have left is countless wolfenstein 3d clones on the 360. how many people would keep buying FPSs if they all still looked liked they did back in the early 90s?ZeroAX wrote: Besides, if we took away the pretty graphics, how many PS3/360 games would be really good?
if you took a shit, please put it back

You say that like it's a bad thing. Besides, you forget all the countless Galaga clones on the 360.you take away the graphics and all you have left is countless wolfenstein 3d clones on the 360.
