My assumption has always been that the picture was originally supposed to be of a guy with a headlock on the other guys. Somewhere along the line, I have to assume someone saw that and 1) didn't know what pro wrestling was or 2) why the heck Sega was putting two naked guys hugging on a box so someone, somewhere edited to look like a dude holding his own head. Because that's what's in video games? And then no one else ever thought to say, wha? because no one gave a shit about the SMS in the US? Who knows, I'm just speculating. Someone needs to track down whomever at Sega handled these things are get the real truth.

Most wrestling fans are familiar with John Cena's NES Pro Wrestling inspired t-shirt, right? Cena would be my instant favorite wrestler ever if they made a Master System Pro Wrestling shirt, white grid, terrible headless clip art guy HUSTLE LOYALTY RESPECT. Would make a million dollars, easy.
