Chances of Gamestop carrying it new is very slim since this came out year 04'. So...if you do decide to pick up the game you'll have to pick up a separate head set for use. There was no headset bundle released in the states either.

I don't think Gamestop will take back accessories designed only for a certain game. I remember seeing something that they won't take back the arcade stick for Tatsunoko vs. Capcom, even if you have the game with it. Also, you never see any used DDR games with pads, music games with instruments, or Pokemon HG/SS with the Pokewalker.

Super Smash Bros. (N64): Ranked top 5 in Wisconsin from Q1 2016 to Q2 2017
Shrek SuperSlam: won largest tournament in game's history (Shrekfest 2018)

IIRC, you can use the SOCOM headset with it.

No, it's an interesting experiment, but it's definitely nowhere near 100%. JT's played it, if I remember correctly.
Yes, I like the game, even though it is a failed experiment. I wrote about it here:

Also, though the game is best played with a head set, I use my handheld USB mic that I got with Karaoke Revolution. It works that way as well.

What I like about Lifeline is that the control scheme works well for the story. You are trapped in hotel security room. Aliens have invaded and you are using the cameras to instruct a woman through the hotel to come save you. When you know what words to say and the voice recognition is responding well, then you do get a sense that the girl is talking to you and responding to your commands. Though the game frustratingly screws up frequently, when it was working, I actually felt more connected to the girl I was commanding with my voice than I do with most controller operated characters. Speaking is just a more social way of controlling a character, so you instantly feel a bit more like they are an entity. I'm interested to see what happens with the Milo project that Peter Molyneux is working on with the Xbox 360 Kinect hardware, which looks like it does this even better than Lifeline's early attempts.
