Video games have just gotten way too big for their own good if you ask me. Small, original independent developers like Atlus will soon be things of the past. Retail releases from these companies will soon no longer exist. I think downloadable games are the only way a company like this can exist in todays ferocious video game market.

Last I heard NIS isn't doing so hot either. Lets just hope this never, ever happens to Treasure. Kinda sad to hear this though, I hope this doesn't change the way they do business. They seem to really care about their loyal fans with great games and killer preorder bonuses.

This thread just keeps getting better and better, because it's painfully clear who read the article and who didn't.

In all fairness, I think the OP made the title a little misleading considering the title of the thread "Farewell, Atlus".

Did you get it? That game's pretty hard to find in the wild.

Man, that sucks. Cubivore is a nice addition to any Gamecube collection, because it's such a weird game.

Whatever the case, I just want to hope that Atlus (however it's going to exist as of now) will keep making games for the Shin Megami Tensei franchise. Main reason being that even with Nomura's army of bishonen teenage crybabies to back him up, I don't think that any other RPG series can measure up...
