MAME
and you don't count that then I would have to say: Mario All Stars with Super Mario World
When asked what is the supreme platform game two of the most common answers are SM3 and SMW - both can be found on this one cart.

Re: What Are Your Favorite Game Compilations?
I'd definitely have to say my copies of Street Fighter Alpha Anthology(PS2) and Metal Slug Anthology(PS2).
As for ones I want to own...
Mega Man Collection(yes, it's about the only platformer series I ever really got into)
Final Fight Anthology
World Heroes Collection
Capcom Collection
Street Fighter Anniversary Collection

Re: What Are Your Favorite Game Compilations?
I agree with alot of the titles especially Metal Slug and Capcom collections. Great stuff and emulated nicely.
The Sega Genesis collection is pretty stellar too. It's nice having all the phantasy star games on one disc and not worrying about you cart battery giving out on you. It's worth it for that alone. Plus alot of the games I probably wouldn't buy, but I'd sure as heck give them a couple run throughs. Plus the creator and director interviews are great. I find that most of the emulation is pretty good.
I'd say the most diapointing is the SNK Classics vol 1. It just looks soo grainy compared to emulating it on MAME, and the sound is so-so. The selection of games is ok but no puzzle games, no shmups, and most annoying of all no Samurai Showdown 2!!! Why can't they port that damn game to a US system for once!
