Re: Pokemon Black - creepy hacked cartridge
Pokemon was so easy to obsess over when it first came out. We'd never seen anything like it, and Red/Blue was just so glitchy. And it wasn't the kind of glitchy that just pissed you off, it was the kind of glitchy let you catch Dratinis or get 99x of any item.Anayo wrote:

The biggest white whale of all was getting Mew within the game. There were all of these fanciful ideas on the internet about how to get Mew without a Gameshark. Surprisingly, there actually is a glitch that lets you get Mew without a Gameshark...but it's only been discovered fairly recently.
Also, another mystery: who the hell is Ash's father??

I felt so righteous when I caught Mew without Gameshark.
Nintendo always came across as dickish with these event-only Pokémon.

Ugh, same thing with the unattainable trophies in Melee.jfrost wrote:I felt so righteous when I caught Mew without Gameshark.

Whoa that's one creepy hack! I'm not sure what to say. I kinda would like to see it in action, not necessarily need to play it.

I almost want to find this game just to.....say that I can experience it. That has to be the most crazy thing I have read in a long time. Very amazing just to imagine that. Of course, the Lavender Town music doesn't help making it any less eerie.
Is it even possible to do that in a ROM hack though? If it is, than this sounds VERY interesting to say the least.

Collects promo gaming stuff, certain import games, hockey memorabilia, and other oddball things. (sig and avy under construction)

I actually played the music after I read the article and it gave me goosebumps, it has a really good effect.Josh wrote:I almost want to find this game just to.....say that I can experience it. Yeah, I don't doubt that you could pull this off with a Rom hack. Actually, relative to entire translations and whatnot, this might be a relatively light task.Josh wrote:Is it even possible to do that in a ROM hack though? If it is, than this sounds VERY interesting to say the least.
