How many quarters did you use to play MVC2, the game should be 8 bucks. I think its on sale for 7 or 8 bucks on psn. also worms is cheaper on psn.

Your logic is flawed though.

When you pay to play a game in the arcade you're not paying Capcom, you're paying the machine's owner: IE the arcade itself or whomever the local arcade machine distribution center is. The only time you pay Capcom is when you buy the game in a store or online for your console.

Given all of that I'd say $10-$15 is a great deal for a game that you'll still be playing a decade from now just like you are now. Plus, along with just the game you'll now have the ability to play online with your friends that aren't nearby, without any lag on an HDTV thanks to the console rendering it natively at your television's resolution and enjoy other modern features such as crystal clear digital audio and the current crop of arcade sticks and pads.
My Consoles:
Genesis - Nomad - SegaCD - GameGear - Sega Saturn - Dreamcast - NES - SNES - N64 - Gamecube - Wii - Playstation - PSone & LCD - PS2 - PS3 - Xbox - 3DS

What does Worms have to do with anything? I'm sure the game will cost the same on both platforms. It will probably be $15 and for serious fighting game fans I'm sure it will be worth it. I'm guessing it will NOT have updated HD graphics as that takes SO long to create. They will probably focus on enhancing features and the netcode rather than graphics.

Yeah, it'll probably be like Marvel vs. Capcom 2. Same graphics, just wider view to fit the screen.

I'll definitely pay $15. I mean, shit, I paid $15 for MvC2, and that game is a soggy pile of crap compared to SF3:TS. I just hope they have a selectable rebalanced mode a la SF2HD. Tone down Chun Li, Makoto and Yun, beef up Q, Twelve and Sean, and we'll all have a Merry Christmas.

I also really hope they can work something out with SNK and get Capcom vs SNK 2 up with online. Without Original Xbox support on XBLA, there's no way to play it online.

You forgot to add Ken in the top tier list.. And even though those characters were high tier, 3S is probably once of the most balanced Street Fighter games aside from maybe Alpha 3..

Alpha 3 was pretty unbalanced. Maybe you meant to say Alpha 2...?

But yes, 3S is one of the most balanced Street Fighter games. It's one of the reasons I love it. Doesn't mean we should settle for 'good enough'. If they're gonna re-release, they may as well do something to make a purchase worth-while. I'll buy it to support Capcom, but a lot of people will be just happy with their GGPOs and their Supercades.

Alpha 3's low tiers were bad but... The only real imbalance of the game is the V ism... Other than that, it isn't too bad.. Alpha 2 was pretty balanced as well, but Akuma, like almost any game, was cheap as hell

At 100yen (=US$1) a game... $8 would only equal 8 plays.

$15 for it or SF3S is definitely worth it.
