If you're looking for a Pikmin-esque game that isn't actually Pikmin, get Little King's Story.
Also, MLB Power Pros 2007 and 2008 are on Wii as well...

Congratulations! Mario Kart is totally amazing. Super Paper Mario is great too. Resident 4 is best on the Wii. So many more to list...

For me and my wifes first anniversary we bought each other DSes. 
Congrats on your anniversay and I hope you both enjoy the Wii. I just bought a Wii so that me and my wife could play games together on it too. We are playing New Super Mario Bros, HotD Overkill(my wife loves HotD games) and the Wii Sports/Resort stuff. It's pretty fun stuff.
