I completely agree, in my opinion Earthbound is one of the best RPGs for the SNES, a "must play". Voted it.

I say finish Legend of Zelda, continue Ninja Gaiden, and then start Earthbound.

How far along are you in 120-star-completing Super Mario 64? If you're only a dozen or two away, then finish that first. Getting all 150 stars in Super Mario 64 DS was one of my most satisfying gaming accomplishments ever. :)

I chose Earthbound(SNES) just because it's what I'm also playing "next" (well currently) and I'm finding it awesome. Feels like a crime that I've never played it before.

I've only barely started Earthbound, only to be drowned out by school work.

I've made it to 5-3 before Giving up due to difficulty on Gaiden a few days ago

I believe I've only just restarted Mario 64. 30-something stars I believe.

Well I'm off to go Beat Gaiden, I think I can do it now. :)

WISH ME LUCK

Guys, Need some help! I'm on the final Boss, second form. i keep dying every time. I can't dodge the fire, and hit him, its one or the other, Any tips?

By the way, here is some proof that this is being done on real NES hardware.

NES

6-3 planning

I hate that entire level. I believe you're referring to The Jacqiuo? I always found the most success clinging to the walls and then jumping at him right when the fireballs started to arc upwards towards me, so that they'd miss and I could potentially land a hit. Remember, there's nothing worse than getting hit by the fireballs, if you have to jump headlong into the boss to avoid them than do it, at least you'll take 1 damage instead of 3. Be forewarned, you still have to fight another boss after this one (though I always found the one you're referring to the most difficult of the three).
