I've been lucky so far that my basement hasn't leaked. My neighbor/landlord complains about his leaking every year. Still, I should get some of my stuff off the floor. We're on high ground so serious flooding is not an issue thankfully.
I can't watch the video at work, but how deep was the flooding? Some nice deep rubbermaid containers could have saved some stuff if it was less than a foot or two.

I'm a basement dweller, but I've got tarps, plastic storage bins, and 65 gallon garbage bags on the ready. Sadly, not every solution is fail-safe

for those attacking him for keeping those games in a shed:
@pobhockle I wasn't hoarding though, I was keeping them in there whilst I made space to properly arrange them inside.![]()

I wouldn't want my stuff in a tin shed for one night. Think of the moisture every morning.AppleQueso wrote:for those attacking him for keeping those games in a shed:

This especially in my book. It must really suck for the guy.
Anyways...this makes me worry for my games, even though I'm in Wisconsin and nothing ever happens here lol.

I didn't read any extra comments, but it looks like the roof leaked and the water just dripped in and soaked from one box to another. The stuff in the video is already mostly dry and rotted or disintegrated. Doesn't appear that this was so much sitting in deep water as rained in and soaked.Hatta wrote:I can't watch the video at work, but how deep was the flooding? Haha, they were playing Timesplitters; back on topic, why would one trust a shed with their video games?dedalusdedalus wrote:Hm, maybe "Shaun of the Dead" enamored him with the idea of playing video games in a shed.s1mplehumar wrote:Why the frick would you store your prized collection in a shed?
