I used to be into YuGiOh, but after a while, I lost interest, due to the fact that I had all these cards and no one to play against. The problem? I was in high school when the TCG came out in the States (I think I was in my Sophmore year) and no one else would give it a chance.
In fact, I'm looking to sell my cards. However, I only have the cards in my deck to sell, as the rest of my cards are in storage, and not accessible because we owe money. But my deck includes some Blue-Eyes White Dragons (I think one of them is the promo from issue 1 of Shonen Jump), the Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon (another promo card) and Dark Magician. I know where my deck is, but I don't know why I'm waiting to sell them.
Any other Yu-Gi-Oh! players?
Re: Any other Yu-Gi-Oh! players?
I used to be into it, but I don't see the point in it anymore.
I have cards everywhere. Some rare, some not. Some fake, most not.
An entire three inch binder and a gallon size bag. Filled with cards. From elementary school, I believe I was in the 2nd grade when they launched, by then I was watching the anime like you wouldn't believe.
I was in love with the anime until the last season with the pyramid or something. I wasn't into that one. I was into GX but I wasn't able to see it often. Haven't seen one episode of 5D's.

you were 7 when the anime launched? so now you are 16? strange to find someone so young in a retro gaming forum. What you'd call retro is last gen to usJosh wrote:I used to be into it, but I don't see the point in it anymore.

I was seven when the Anime launched, 15 now. I grew up with a Nintendo, an SNES, and a 64. Until I was 8 when I got a Gamecube. I knew my retro from the day I was born. And look what I've been able to expose myself to in my sig. Trust me dude, I know my retro, even though half the games I own were probably before I was born.ZeroAX wrote:you were 7 when the anime launched? so now you are 16? strange to find someone so young in a retro gaming forum. I don't know if anyone noticed, I am 15 too. Don't shrug me off either, I grew up with an N64 and an SNES. (Until I got my Cube at 6)

I didn't mean to shrug anyone off, I just didn't expect anyone young to appreciate retro as much as the people who actually grew up with it.
Good for you guys
. I'm actually introducing the world of retro gaming to my baby cousins, though it's via emulators.
Personally since my childhood was in the 90s I can't play any games before the 16-bit era. The only exception to that might be the gameboy, and some arcade classics (pacman, bubble bobble)

I'm 16, but I'll be 17 in a couple days. There's a couple people on this forum that are around that age. I think that slowslow325 said that he is about 15 or so.ZeroAX wrote:you were 7 when the anime launched? so now you are 16? strange to find someone so young in a retro gaming forum.
