Modded Sega Saturn , not booting backups help !
Re: Modded Sega Saturn , not booting backups help !
hiya Ziggy and team........
I think i have created a problem with my US Model 2 32-Pin (80000A) Saturn , since i pushed in the Ribbon Cable that goes from the CD Drive to the Motherboard i discovered i have a new problem. When i re-inserted the Cable it has scratched the Pins on it , just before doing that i got the message from the Saturn that Marvel Super Heroes Vs Street Fighter (JAP) was ' unsuitable for this system '.
After i scratched the Pins i dont get this message anymore it just comes up as a Audio CD. I think ive destroyed the Ribbon Cable or maybe something else.
Does anyone know where i can get a Ribbon Cable for a Model 2 32-Pin (80000A) Saturn ?
btw i have my other PC setup to burn ISOs and have a different brand of CD-R's , ive tried 2 games and both come up as Audio CDs. But i blame the Ribbon Cable being toasted for the reason why its not working.

The proper name for that kind of cable is "Flexible flat cable". There are 2 different pin sizes I've come across in various electronics. If you can't get one specifically from a Saturn, the correct name should help you find one online.

I've seen people link a replacement cable for it, though I forget what website. Point is, a compatible replacement cable DOES exist.
