What Gaming Magazines Did You Read As A Kid

My cousin used to always bring over his GamePros. Then I decided to subscribe my damn self.

Then I started to get GameInformer because of FuncoLand.

Then I was in a grocery store and I saw an EGM; and they had a review for Toukon Retsuden (Japanese Pro Wrestling Game for PS1); and then I got hooked on import wrestling games. That was around 96 or so.

Zzap64 for Commodore 64.

Computer & Video Games for all formats.

Yeh i was a Zzap! 64 reader too, and I'd occasionally get C+VG, if I could calm my C64 fanboy blood :p

PC wise Id get PC Gamer

I had a stint with Nintendo Power, enough to get a few of their VHS promos for one of the Donkey Kong Country games and Star Fox 64. But my favorite one was EGM. Remember how thick those old EGM magazines were? Good stuff. Don't have any subscriptions these days.

I have the starfox, donkey kong and banjo kazooie videos sitting somewhere in storage. I still have a nintendo power subscription today.

oh yeah I used to read PC Gamer, Maybe there best issue is the one for July 2000, The disk came with 12 full dos games and shareware versions of the games.

Games include

i was never a nintendo power subscriber but i did get some of the videos like the DK one. didnt get it from subscribing but from sending in those cards

and yeah, i miss the old thick egm mags, they were the best
