Re: What's the main system you collect for?
Just SNES and Genesis cartridges. There's some DC shmups I've invested in in the past, but nowadays, only carts.
I've recently become so hassled with moving things around and reconnecting everything that I just keep a few systems plugged in, so when I make the rounds, I only look for those specific carts and don't even bother spending my money on the rest.

I used to be all over the place, but recently I've found that the ps1 has a very special place in my heart, so that is what I am trying to snap up most things for. Luckily, I was fortunate enough to have bought most of the more expensive RPGs when they came out when I was a kid, so the dollar amount of the games I want isn't quite as daunting as it could be.

I am not sure if it is in my sig or not, but N64(I am attempting a full US collection). Then GC and GB are tied for second, with everything else getting games when I feel like it.

I have mostly PS1 and PS2, but at this point I have nearly everything I want for those two systems.
Right now, I'm amassing games for Saturn and DC. I might even attempt full runs on those two, excluding imports.
I also buy AES stuff whenever a good price comes up.

At the moment I'm trying to finish up my N64 collection. I have about 25 US and Japanese games I'm still looking for. After that comes the Xbox, Gamecube and GBA/DS. Finally comes anything else I'm looking for on the smattering of other systems I have.

I got rid of some stuff recently, but mostly I collect Sega consoles and games, especially Genesis. If I had the cash I would have a killer Turbografx collection.

SNES, with PS1 in a distant second.

Re: What's the main system you collect for?
my 'collecting' has evolved over the years. when i first started, probably 3 years ago, it was anything i could get my hands on. then it was strictly nes, then snes. now i say "fuck nintendo." sega does what nintendont. now the only systems i actually 'collect' for is really anything sega. preferably the sega cd and/or32x. all other systems i only buy games i actually want to play.
if you took a shit, please put it back

Re: What's the main system you collect for?
My NES and Genesis collections are about even once I account for duplicates I haven't offloaded yet. Though I still have a bunch of Genesis games I got in a lot that don't interest me, so I probably have more NES games I'll end up keeping or have acquired on purpose.
