What's not to love? You've got a party of adventurers. You've got economic choices to make. You've got action sequences. You've got life and death decisions to make. You've got random calamities. You've got 8-bit renditions of traditional folk tunes. You've even got pepparony and chease.

I even fired up Oregon Trail when my GF's daughter came to visit us last year. Still enjoyable for the new generation.

I'd be up for a next gen version of oregon trail. Realistic buffalo hunting, buying shit, rafting down the river.

After that I think Epic should make Number Munchers Apocalypse, where you play as a muncher who has to get revenge on the troggles for raping Munchina, and even if you can't figure out the multiples of 8, you can just chainsaw the troggles.

What about somebody going back and making Reader Rabbit Revenge, where he finally murders his longtime nemesis Trix Rabbit and has to go on a quest to find himself with the Nesquik Bunny? It was simply hare-raising!

Or how about a Super Solvers game that's a murder mystery. And as the time winds down more people are killed.

I've played at least two different versions. One on an old Apple IIe or so, and the other was a Windows CD-Rom game from the early nineties. The older one was slightly better, imo. They changed the hunting to be mouse-based for the remake.

We all did around here. My wife and I even played it last night, but we all died.

I miss playing that game in the classroom and naming my characters like Ballsack or Turd and getting in deep shit for it.
