Fries, cheddar curds and gravy I believe.
Re: Your Favorite Foods

No image for this one but my Great Grandma makes a Filé shrimp gumbo that I only get to have about once every 10 years and it is like taking a bite of my childhood. It is also the best gumbo I have ever tasted and 90% of my family are New Orleans natives.
Anything from this restaurant:

It is about 20 mins from my house and it has the best seafood I've ever had. It is always same day fresh and they are brackish waters because a natural fresh water spring flows into the ocean right next to the restaurant.
EDIT: Incidentally, the recipe for my Great Grandma's gumbo and many other family recipes can be found in my Aunt Charlotte's book. She worked for Emeril and some of her recipes have been featured on his show.

Natto (Ferment Soybeans) and Calrose rice. An acquired taste, the gooier the better. If no Natto then Okra as backup.

Fish and Chips:

Soba noodles in Broth:

Gambas al Pil-Pil:

Unfortunately no pictures do this spanish dish credit, it tastes better than it looks. Its prawns/shrimp fried in olive oil, paprika, chili and garlic and then baked and served. it is also muy delicioso!

Before I found some good gyro places in georgia I was in north carolina feeling gyro withdrawl and ran across a gyro restaurant. . . with crappy frozen strips. There's a couple places here that are like that as well, I don't even bother, it's like an entirely different food. And the sauce at those kind of places tends to have the consistancy of watery mayo too.Luke wrote:I've yet to find a decent gyro in North Carolina. No one cuts the meat off the spit, it's all frozen gyro strips.
Other than that, I am an Osso Bucco fiend.

Yes!!! It can be ate anytime, usually for dinner though. Super unhealthy but super tasty.Octopod wrote:Fries, cheddar curds and gravy I believe.

Great burgers. Nephews visiting from overseas, showed them what a real burger is.sevin0seven wrote:In-N-Out Burger. It’s only the best fast food you will ever taste!
They used to give out bumper stickers.
Lotta cars had these with the B and the last R colored out.
There is also a hidden menu.
