Who Is Your Favorite Game Character?
Sonic of course is one of my all time favorites, an icon for sure.
My other favorites includes Illidan Stormrage from Warcraft, one of the most misunderstood characters ever, sort of a "Means justifys the ends" type character. Others are Solid Snake, Kain from Legacy of Kain, Duke Nukem, Tassadar, Jim Raynor and Arcturus Mengsk from Starcraft, Yuna from FFX and X2, M.Bison (best boss ever?), James Sunderland from SH2, and Heather Morris from SH3. Thats all really.

Re: Who Is Your Favorite Game Character?
A few that I love:
1. Jade(Beyond Good and Evil) - She's one of the nicest girls in gaming and she goes against a lot of female stereotypes. She somehow manages to be hot without being exploitive. That whole eastern Buddhism thing she's got going on appeals to me to as I'm rather eastern leaning in my beliefs
2. Zero(Megaman X series) - Brought some badassness to the Megaman franchise that it never possessed before him. Plus, I liked having a melee character to play as since I always find melee combat more interesting than gunplay
3. Lara Croft - I like strong, intelligent women. And she's a gymnist. Nice
4. Sly Cooper - Coolest anthropomorphic platform character ever. Sonic, Crash, Ratchet, etc. have got nothing on him
5. Yorda(from Ico) - She drew a lot of emotion out of me and a genuine protective urge when I played that game
6. Batman(because I love Batman, no matter what medium he is in. Movies, games, comics, etc.)
7. Pikmin - I really obsessed over keeping those little bastards alive. They appeal to the pet lover in me I guess
8. Pinata pets(Viva Pinata) - Again, the pet lover in me
9. B.B. Hood(Darkstalkers) - Such an awesome, twisted and weird character from quite possibly my favorite 2d fighting series
10.Alucard - Vamps are cool and there is no cooler vamp in gaming

Luigi. Not from the Mario series, but from the Mario & Luigi series on GBA/DS. Extremely reluctant to be a hero and everyone underestimates him and he is always terrified. But still entirely capable of being everything that Mario is. Just prefers a low profile.

Bumping threads from 2007? THAT'S MY JOB!
But this still looks like a good thread so my favorite is Tiny Kong. For both choices.

Re: Who Is Your Favorite Game Character?
I was wondering who all these people with significant post counts who I've never seen before were. Anyway:

Sorry to bump an old thread, but I thought it was still worth discussing. Didn't think I should make a new one when there's one already available

Re: Who Is Your Favorite Game Character?
most iconic:
it's a tie, between Rockford (Boulder Dash/Commodore 64) and Dizzy (Dizzy's adventures/Spectrum)
I'll go with Dizzy, since he was the most representative of his computer
as for the one I feel most closely related to, it's the unknown hobo as my avatar
the guy from Rags to Riches on the C64
he starts out as a homeless, unemployed bum with beard and a hat, carrying a cloth on a stick with his belongings
eventually gets a part-time job, a shave, an apartment and finally an education to reach even higher level of jobs and avoiding jail-time, etc.
great concept of a great (and endless) game

C-64 will never die
