I take my Neo-Geo Pocket Color with me every day, wherever I go. It's the best system I can think up for quick, pick-up-and-play gameplay. Whenever I have a few minutes to spare, I just whip out my trusty NGPC, and play a round or two of SNK vs. Capcom.

I take my iPod touch on the go because of its large library of pick up and play (Doodlejump, Canabalt) and games for longer sessions (street fighter 4, modern combat: sandstorm). When thee battery is low on it, I ull out the ds and play some Advance Wars.

PSP. It's a handheld, plus a few other handhelds, plus a few home consoles all rolled in to one. Get an extended life battery and a travel charger and you're set.

That many PSP fans huh. I have both a PSP and DSL. The PSP has some amazing capabilities, but I keep my DS in my pocket. The PSP just seems more fragile, the DS I can toss in my pocket and not worry about it. The PSP is a little bigger too. The DS just seems better suited to shorter play times, so I use it whenever I have 10 minutes to kill. When I'm traveling and have an hour or two to kill in the evening, the PSP gets a lot of use.

sigh. Another thread turned into the PSP-vs-NDS debate. Okay, here I go again:

the DS is a better handheld for games. The original library is fantastic, especially if you are a Nintendo fan (exclusive Marios, Zeldas, Metroids, etc). The buttons and d-pad are very comfortable. It seems to encourage short bursts of time-killing gaming.

the PSP is a better media player. I used mine for quickly checking email, listening to music, watching videos. Etc. The homebrew scene is far superior to the NDS's homebrew scene. However, that being said I HATED the way the buttons felt, so even emulation didn't make me too happy.

For the past five years I carried my Tapwave Zodiac with me daily. It is a gaming palm pilot. Mostly for NES, SNES, and Genesis games. But the external keyboard I had broke and I bought an EEE to replace it. Since the EEE handled everything very well (I type on the go alot), well I started carrying my DS. Recently I upgraded to a DSiXL and it is great. It is in my pocket right now - just itching for some Advance Wars at lunch.

I hope that modifying the d-pad (and maybe even thumbstick) isn't going to be hard to do - especially considering I plan to play a lot of fighters on the PSP.

iPhone. I want to jailbrake it so I can throw some emulators on it. So much easier if you have a windows based phone...

I carry a fucking full sized four player MAME cab with me everywhere I go and strap that fucker to my back like I'm a mule. "Handheld" has a much broader definition when you are a ripped mofo like me.

Oh, and noise is wrong. PSP>DS.
