JGR > JSRF. JSRF was a remake of the Dreamcast game, and it's exactly the reason I hope they don't make another remake of it.

"Hey, let's make the game dark and edgy because colors are for homosexuals apparently, get rid of the tagging mechanic so players can just tag indiscriminately without planning out 'Okay, I should get the XL tags out the way before cops show up so I'm not left defenseless when I start tagging it', and put THE WORST SONG IN ALL OF VIDEO GAMING IN IT! Bulletproof!"

somehow, I knew it would be Birthday Cake! - Although I actually like it.

I completely agree about the tagging, although not so much about the colours. While I too preferred the more colourful look of the first game, the style of the second game I think was to fit in with the grim, grimy, futuristic theme. So I can go along with it on that.

The second game wasn't a remake, but a reboot to fit in with the Xbox and the way the original Xbox's games looked and played at the time. Yeah it didn't feel as cool or awesome as the first game, but I still loved JSRF regardless.

Jet Set Radio Future was a reboot as well as a sequel as I recall. You'll notice there's been a change in leadership from the first game for example(though I never understood why)

I think the problem with the original game was that it was slightly unpolished and frustrating at times. There was a rather high level of difficulty to parts of the game. Jet Set Radio addressed this, but arguably went a bit too far in making the game accessible and made it a bit too easy. Truthfully, neither game has the right level of difficulty
