I never really have a problem pulling them off of the inserts. Still sucks though.

The stickers Gamestop uses now are easier to remove compared to older ones.
Couple pages of Sticker Rants, Gamestop sticker policy change.

For some reason I think Play N Trade's stickers are much worse then Gamestop's labels. I don't even bother to try to take the label off if its on the front of the game at PNT.

Anyway, those stickers are thermal. If you heat them under a hair dryer, they peel off without a residue.
It was the7k that gave that tip. Still haven't tried it, yet. (Haven't gone to GameSlop in awhile)

I can't stand those stickers GameStop uses on games like everyone else not hard to remove but annoying nonetheless.

Sometimes they're hard to remove.

I've bought games at Gamestop (yea, I know that's a shock), and they've had the stupid sticker on the front, back, spine, AND underneath the spine sticker on the actual insert of the game. You couldn't even see it!!!! It took forever to get off with a hair dryer so I don't rip the insert.
Also, instead of using stickers at Goodwill they use permanent marker. This isn't that big of a deal if you know how to get it off. They usually have courtesy enough to put it on a part that is easy to get it off of (i.e. not the paper part of anything).

my game stop would sometimes put the sticker on the spine of the insert..but here's the thing. they would keep the white paper back on and the only thing holding it was the cases plastic. so when you opened it up, you could just slide the sticker out, easy as that. unfortunately they usually had other stickers on the rest of the case. i wonder why they can't do this for the front too. im pretty sure the sticker would stay in there...so i don't get why they don't.

Ah, how could I forget?
Thanks, 7K! You've certainly saved a lot of my inserts.
Everyone with sticker labels on their games should try this now. It works for real.
