Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

Get rid of the fanboys. I wish there to be world peace and diversity in video land.

That's a very generalized statement. I'm 16, I hate kids that spew out curses every other word online.
So am I. I'm 16 years old, and whenever I do play online games, I play without a mic.
I'm 15 and when I play modern warfare, I mute it whenever someone starts cursing every time they die; most of my friends are 16 and have enough self control to not say anything when they die

I know you may all hate me for this and I have lied about my age many times, but I'm actually 14. However, I limit myself to GameCube and back (except handhelds...). So I don't spam up your online games. If I ever feel the urge to play an online game, I won't be talking into a mic. I also don't speak curse words EVER!

Just for the record, I don't just have a GameCube. I have consoles from 2600 to Gamecube.

Also, related to the topic, I would make more kids my age play and appreciate retro games. At school, I'll be playing my GB and someone will come up and say it sucks because the graphics suck. I then go to explain that if a game was fun back then, why wouldn't it be fun today? Their answer is usually something like "Because the graphics suck".

Keep fighting the good fight.

I would love to see gamers gravitate back towards "slower" but more deeply laid out adventure-type games again. There is a definite lack of those type of games nowadays compared to the PC adventure game glory days. Every other game now is shooting someone in the face.
Neither angry nor irate.

Retro game forums where half of all game related post are about modern games.

Seriously, I hate that people are graphics whores, but they have always been. I was one in my childhood and I grew out of it eventually, like a lot of others will also. Downloadable content and online only content is what really bothers me, it will make future retro collecting obsolete. I don't want to buy incomplete games.

That is also one of my big concerns. When I get older I won't be able to collect retro games from my childhood (i.e. NOW).

As many other have already said I wish people wouldn't overlook a game because it's 'old' or 'the graphics suck'. It seems people today only appreciate the dirty brown and black shoot people in the face games, as long as they have amazing graphics of course.
I've tried to get my stepbrother to play a few games with me outside of halo and WoW, but thats impossible. It seems people are afraid of variety these days as well.
I wonder how people don't get bored from playing Modern Warfare 2 all day every day.

True, but it's interesting seeing who people really are when they have anonymity. Some people are way more interesting and fun online than in real life.

Anyway, I'd would disallow all multi-platform titles if I had the power to do so. Damn it, I want consoles(and the PC market)to have an identity again. Exclusive only, no multi-platform anything and I don't give a damn how much money developers would lose. It certainly would make the gaming market interesting again if every game was on one console only. I'm also sick of how multi-platform releases screw gamers over. Oh, PS3 version gets this exclusive and you Xbox guys don't. Or, this version has better framerate or better visuals. Somebody always gets screwed on multi-platform releases unless they own every console

Also, I would completely abolish DLC for games. It's just a way for companies to steal more money from gamers. The actual price for a "complete" game now and days when you factor in DLC is close to 100 dollars.

I would KILL achievements and trophies. They were a good idea on paper but most games have stupid, pointless or just plain frustrating achievements. Some games even make you PAY MONEY to get achievements. And let's face it, gamerscore is useless. Not like Microsoft rewards you for hitting certain milestones

Oh, and I would make it gaming law that every game must be either single player or multi-player. THEY CANNOT BE BOTH!! I'm sick of single player games with tacked on multi-player or multi-player games with half assed campaign modes
