Let it go already. Playing "non-party/MMOSHITE" computer games will always remain a masculine thing.
Of all my encounters i have only come across one female that is "seriously" into gaming, and I've known several geeky women and none of them would admit to playing more than Bejeweled. Just forget about it and get a Wii

They're definitely out there. I have 4 on my Steam friend's list. It's not a lot. But they're definitely there.

I'll try and give a productive response for the OP. Okay, I'm putting as much sexism aside as possible, but the question kind of demands a bit of generalization. Generally speaking, the odds of you finding an actual-factual "hardcore" gamer girl who you actually find attractive are very, very slim. Video gaming has become relatively mainstream amongst guys to the point that it's not at all uncommon for regular, healthy people to become infatuated with them - it's like if a guy has a big movie collection, it's no big deal. For girls though, the social stigma is in many ways still there a bit -- most girls can play some Bejeweled or FarmTown or even a bit of Super Mario Bros. here and there and giggle off the inevitable awkwardness she'll get from it. As far as girls who actively collect video game consoles and rare games though, those are very rare, and I'd say that the majority of them who do will give WAY too little of a fuck about what people think about them to the point that you'll have a hard time actually being attracted to them. You should probably give up on "hardcore gamer" being a fundamental criteria in selecting a mate. Remember that you're looking for a mate here, not just an excuse to play more video games.
However, it's not difficult to find a girl who will love you despite your quirks, or even a girl who is fairly interested in them - just don't expect her to go as crazy over them as you do. Although I just got out of a fantastic relationship (that ended for reasons that didn't really pertain to our relationship... and to be perfectly honest is probably about to start back up in the future) with a girl who was extremely attractive, had a great personality, and was just as much of a geek as I am. Basically, it went like this - I'm REALLY into video games and have an unexplored interest in manga and anime (I've seen a large number of Studio Ghibli films, Akira, Ghost in the Shell, and the Cowboy Bebop series - not much outside of that, but I loved all of it) and she's REALLY into manga and anime (like, she'll literally lock herself in her room for the whole day sometimes just to catch up on one series or another) and has an unexplored interest in video games (she has an NES, SNES, PlayStation 2, and Gamecube, and has a few common games that she plays from time to time).
What I'm saying is that you can't expect a person to feel exactly the same about something as you do - just find someone who supports (or even likes) your obsessions and has a few obsessions of their own to share with you that you'll actually be interested in. They might even surprise you from time to time -- she didn't expect for me to be able to hold a lengthy conversation with her about Japanese culture and generally being an otaku and I didn't expect for her to have Final Fantasy VIII running one time when I came to her house or for her to already know the Konami code. That doesn't mean that I expect for her to know the differences between the Saturn and PlayStation versions of Thunder Force V, and I don't expect her to be disappointed when I don't know the entire cast of Love Hina, but it works better that way. It's more fun. It adds depth to the relationship to be exploring more than just a copy of yourself.
God fucking dammit, I have to get that woman back.

^You have met very few girls then.
Girls play a lot. You may think they don't because they don't tend to play competitive games like Counter-Strike or fighters as much as men but they do play games. Practically all my female friends play some kind of RPG or love those scary as hell japanese horror games that freak me out.
If you are looking for girls that collect Megaman and Castlevania it's rare because game collectors ARE rare and the average age of the group is higher. But there are plenty of gamer girls.
So if you want to meet and date gamer girls go to anime conventions. Most girls there know their Marios and probably know more about Pen & Paper RPGs than you do.
But, in the end, there's no reason to seek "gamer girls". Hobbies don't make a relationship nor really add a lot. You undervalue people as a whole. You may not share any hobbies but you can share a lot of experiences and feelings because in the end we seek hobbies for the same reasons.
EDIT: And yes, there's a lot of social stigma around for girl gamers so it's not like they don't want to play but that they are looked down if they do.

In short, it's okay for a Neo Geo to date a Nintendo DS. You'll get along just fine anyway, and you even have a Metal Slug or two in common! (The most romantic gaming-related thing I've ever said)

True, but you still need to find someone who can respect your hobbies, even if they aren't into it themselves. I believe Luke's wife likes to knit while he plays games on the couch (if not him, then another member) and it works out well. Finding someone who enjoys your hobbies gives you some common ground to start from and also eliminates the "eww! what a dork!" factor when they walk in and see your TV surrounded by every video game console ever made.

^Of course if she is so close-minded that she can't respect your hobbies she doesn't deserve you.

Take away the question mark and the title of this thread could be a nerd grindhouse flick.
