I beat it on XBLA. GREAT game, although a bit short.

Yeah the length of the game didn't bother me at all. I will most likely play it again and again in the future, just like all of my SNES games I grew up with.

so did anybody pick this game up? is it worth purchasing?

I did. It controls really nicely. I actually like the play control better than the original. You no longer have to charge to boost. This makes it easy to do nice combinations of moves where you jump, dash, attack, etc. while picking up a string of gems along the way. It's very satisfying. Also, the screen isn't as crowded as it used to be, so it doesn't feel as claustrophobic as the original. The original Rocket Knight Adventures still has a certain charm over this one that largely comes from the colorful sprite animation. That gets lost in the 3D version, though I still like the 3D graphics ok. They are both good games. I recommend picking this one up.

Wow, did not know about this until now. RKA was one of my favs as a kid. I'll have to pick this up.
