I bought Elecroplankton from Amazon, and it looks to be a bootleg. It wasn't so cheap that I should have assumed so.

Tetris DS is rare? You can get it for about £5-10 on ebay.co.uk.

It's not as rare as people tend to think. There are 2 million copies floating around North America. But many people consider it one of the best Tetris games to date due to the amount of content, thus keeping its value high.

In the US it is. It sold like crazy but is completely out of print and was only on store shelves for about two months before Ninty pulled the plug on it. With 120+ Million DS consoles out there it's a tough cart to find.

I've always regretted selling my copy that I bought for a measly $30 on the day the game launched. Now it regularly goes up to $60+!

2 Million copies Vs. the about 80 Million DS systems in the US, you do the math.

Still, even with the odd ratio there are many many other games that sold less.

There are more copies of Tetris DS then Personal Trainer: Cooking, Kirby: Squeak Squad, Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time, and Scribblenauts among others. Yet none of these games are considered rare.

*Note* My numbers are pretty outdated - I need a more reliable source for sales numbers - so they may have sold more at this point.
