Couldn't someone start another TR thread if they don't like Qwak? I mean, is there an issue if there were a few TR threads going on for a particular month?

you could start yr own thread about any game you want. But it's not TR. TR is the monthly game chosen and organized by the Racketboy site...

Ok, I see. That's probably due to creating a special page for the game, etc. BTW, thanks for suggesting this month's game. It looks very colorful. I'll try to download the PC Demo version this weekend and check it out.

What kind of controls does the PC version use? Is it keyboard only?

looks like you can use controllers. Do you have an XBox controller?

I never thought i'd be able to use my Amiga cd 32 for a together retro. Here is a link for the cd32 iso and it has Alien breed too so it's definetly worth burning :D

Just to weigh in for a moment...Together Retro is about playing those old classics that you might have missed. Yes, we've played some well known games, on some consoles we've all owned at some point.

We've also played Snatcher. Which appears on one(1) console.

So a game that is mostly remembered on the Amiga? Sure, let's go for it, most of us have likely not played an Amiga game in twenty years, if at all. Now's as good a time as any to start. The point of this whole exercise is to get out and try new games, not sit and play the same thing over and over we've been playing since we were kids on the same consoles we've been playing on for the last two or three decades. Try something new. Get out of your comfort zone. Leave the beaten path. Change is good. Hell, if some of you were debating whether to pick up an Amiga in the near future, here's a title for you to check out when you do.

And if there are any regular members who deserve to make a Together Retro post, it's Noiseredux, who has been extremely helpful and very interested in Together Retro for as long as I can remember. Thanks for the help, chief, and we're glad to get members who are as interested in TR and participate as much as you do.

Didn't mean to insult Noiseredux. I am just jealous of him being one of the 300 people to own it. I really like finding out what limited print run games racketboy members have. Didn't mean to sound negative. Every time Noise talks about his gb collection it just keeps getting more and more impressive.

I apologize for not being on recently – work is monitoring traffic again and there is no note that it will end soon, and crap has happened in real life (thankfully no one is dying but we found out yesterday there may be trouble with my brothers second baby who is slated to be born in late July). As much as I like you lot, family and close friends come first.

That aside, like Ack said, Together Retro was created to hopefully expand our gaming knowledge/repertoire. We have mixed in moderate to well known games with obscure games in hopes that it will make us all more knowledgeable gamers. We did take two or three months late last year/early this year drafting ideas for the TR calender for the year, during which, many members, not just Noiseredux though he was a driving force, stated titles they would like to see and the list was made from an amalgamation of those with some moderator picks (Racket gets final say, Im not going to lie). If you have suggestions for future titles please send them to me/post them in the Upcoming Calendar thread and we will try to work them in. No promises though – we like to try and keep a decent spread of genres.

And do give it a chance, I didn’t even really look at this game till I wrote the intro. Suddenly I found my wallet $20 lighter and I had lost several hours of the day. I still haven’t played it coop though, can anyone weigh in on coop? And if anyone can find it for sale for a decent price on the GBA, I am interested. I can understand if you hate the arcade style, but this game is fun. Alittle clunky, but fun.
