Welcome!

I agree on a lot of points that you've made here, especially the 'scary' aspects. RE5, to me, isn't even really a horror game. I felt like RE4 at least tried to maintain the tension/dark scary, feeling, but 5 dropped the ball on that part in particular.

However, I feel like the real 'meat and potatoes' of RE5 is the co-op. When I first picked up the game, I wasn't impressed. The single player, with it's sub par AI, felt mediocre at best. But soon after, I played through the game (non-gold version, that is) twice more. Once splitscreen and once over PSN, which was significantly more enjoyable than both single and splitscreen. I was actually having fun.

In my opinion, if you have RE5 and you haven't yet played online, co-op, with a friend, and a mic, you're missing out.

I dominated Resident Evil 5 when it released, earning over 80% of the achievements. RE5 is my favorite RE since 3. The action was constant, the graphics are amazing. My only complaint is the lock shooting. Once you go into shooting, you can't move. Other than that I loved this game. Glad I didn't buy it at launch and and the DLC. It pays to wait sometimes. Now I want to play the new DLC and mercinaries modes. Should be fun.Who cares if their actual zombies or not. They walk real slow, make zombie like groans, and try to bite/eat me. Seem like zombies to me.
