Hehe actually the videos are ripped directly from LD and preserved as MPEG. It's as authentic as you can get without buying the arcade stuff.ReddMcKnight wrote:Laserdisc Emulator? This is the first I've ever heard of it. O_OPulsar_t wrote:Here's my advice.. Either:

Except that the color palette is horribly washed out and entire sections are missing in the Sega CD version.h8b1llg8ts wrote:The Sega CD version isn't too bad ...
For ease of play and of locating a copy you can use, get the DVD version. You play it on your DVD player using your DVD remote. It is in full color and contains the entire game.
Dragon's Lair 3D (availabe on PC and GameCube, probably other platforms) takes the same basic story and makes it into a decent third person action game.

If you say one word about the Gameboy Color version, I will throw you from a moving vehicle.noiseredux wrote:quick! Somebody guess which version I'm gonna talk up...
That's what's great about Laserdisc. Technically, it's just a big long movie with skippable chapters. The exception is games like Cobra Command that overlaid actual graphics over the video to act as your crosshairs and laser fire.Pulsar_t wrote:Hehe actually the videos are ripped directly from LD and preserved as MPEG. Indeed. It's actually listed in Racketboy's article of Games That Pushed The Limits of the Game BoyReddMcKnight wrote:

I dunno, probably some overzealous self-righteous egotistical statement like "you can't use humor in these forums! laughing is the devil's work! Sarcasm and irony elude our detection! everything is always a super serious threat or insult, ALWAYS! I AM MOD GOD! BOW BEFORE ME! RAWRRRRR!"noiseredux wrote:what's the mod ruling on this?17DaysOlderThanNES wrote:If you say one word about the Gameboy Color version, I will throw you from a moving vehicle.noiseredux wrote:quick! who wants to take out a stop watch and time how long it takes for Niode to post something like "hey buddy, you need to appreciate other people's gaming preferences, this is a chill, relaxed forum, that's why we follow you around threatening you"
