Pokemon SoulSilver because I need my pre-order Pokemon toys. And I couldn't wait to start playing this game.
Re: What games have you bought at launch recently?
Typically I don't buy anything at launch. But in the last couple months I've bought 3, that's 3 more launch games than I've bought in the last 5 years or so. I got Mushihimesama Futari, and Bioshock 2, which I had planned on getting. Then I got Pokemon Heartgold, which was a total impulse buy.

Wait you guys got a pre-order bonus? That sucks. We haven't got anything, we're paying twice as much and it's still not out for another 3 days. I hate living in PAL-Land...BakaTanuki wrote:Pokemon SoulSilver because I need my pre-order Pokemon toys. And I couldn't wait to start playing this game.

If it's a game I really want I'll buy it the day it releases. Off the top of my head Batman:AA, Bioshock 2, Uncharted 2, Final Fantasy XIII, Demon Souls, Street Fighter IV collectors edition and Blazblue

Re: What games have you bought at launch recently?
I haven't bought a launch game in a long time but I have a pre-order sitting at my local Gamestop waiting for me to pick up Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey with pre-order bonus. I haven't yet decided if I want it though or not. The reviews weren't as good as I was hoping and I know my daughter would rather have Pokemon SoulSilver and with it being Easter and her birthday I'm having an internal dilemma.
Anybody play this game yet?

-Bayonetta
-Mass Effect 2: CE
-Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars
-No More Heroes 2
-Bioshock 2
-White Knight Chronicles International
-Heavy Rain
-Final Fantasy XIII
-Yakuza 3
-God of War III
-Fragile
-Red Steel 2
I usually pick up Atlus titles as well due to print run/availability. If it's a game I really want I'll buy it the day it releases. I also like the various pre-order bonuses included with new releases which will help decide whether I pick it up on launch day or wait for bargain bin prices.
I also pre-ordered Sakura Wars as well since it's probably last worthwhile PS2 release.
I think I forgot some titles. These are just titles from 2010 I bought at launch!!

Bioshock 2, FF13 and GOW3. My father waited for E.T. on the 2600 when I was a kid and I waited on Super Mario 2 when it came out (to show my age)... I have fond memories of some good games at launch and I have not been disappointed in a while...well, at least since Castle of Dragon.

Re: What games have you bought at launch recently?
Last game I bought at launch was NSMB Wii, if pre-ordering counts. Usually I wait a few months or a year or two for some price drops and a game of the year edtition, but with Nintendo games, you have to wait about 5 years for a price drop, so I just got it at launch.
