Also, you can upgrade to 5.5 or whatever firmware, you just need to download the installer. Unfortunately, for whatever reason, my slim will only take upgrades via pandora method, so I have to wait for Rain to update his installer. I think the previous owner did something stupid to it (bought it with non-working UMD, but the laser would track around crazy all the time until I took it out). At least it works with 5.00 M33-4 with no issues, and having no UMD makes it INSANELY light.

not good if you're using it for portability, but great for playing at home. With a 2000 and a video out cable, it's like a REAL playstation portable.
