When very different musical giants share the stage.

I went to one of those shows in Cleveland, the Slayer pit was smaller than I would have liked, but it was very brutal, I can't do that kind of stuff anymore though
This might sound lame, but what are moshpits like? I've never been to a Metal concert. (Stop laughing. Stop it.) The bands I want to see are either:
A. Playing nowhere close to here as I'm in Cousinfuck, TN.
B. An opening act for some shitty big-name band. (I cannot believe that Dark Tranquillity is opening for Killswitch Engage!)

Kind of depends on who you go and see, the audience really makes the pit, if you go to like boston hardcore show the people are assholes(not always but generally, i think they even proud themselves on it)

all of the ones i have been to have pretty nice people, its just a bunch of people pushing each other, i tend to leave once people start swinging elbows, im pretty small, so i just go for pushes, anything above that and i would get slaughtered

KLF vs Tammy Wynette :

I am the biggest KLF fan possibly ever. Most people don't know that "justified and Ancient" and all of their chart topping hits were just a really big prank. Remixes and edits of ambient and acid house 12" records they wrote in the late 80's. In later interviews they mention feeling kind of bad during the recording of this video because the joke was on a genuinely nice old lady.

Crazy thing was, this track hit #11 on the American Top 100. WTF how did they fool people into thinking this was cool. I mean it is fun, weird, and very tongue in cheek, but anything but cool.

Last year I saw The Ex share the stage (literally) with Ethopian Jazz legend Getachew Mekuria.

It was fricken' unbelievable (and free!)

Chicago + Earth Wind & Fire is an amazing show. And it shows that we need more bands that feature a horn section.
