I can't believe you're complaining at having to pay $100 for this thing. We had to pay £110 and you had to be very lucky to get a pre-order for it. Granted we got the God of War Collection with it as well, but considering that this trilogy box-set is the only way to get a PAL version of God of War Collection it's a bit ridiculous. Especially since the extra crap that comes with it is practically worthless.
Why don't they just release God of War collection? Seriously, what is the point in not bringing it to Europe? The trilogy boxset is going for upwards of £200 on ebay right now.

I got my ultimate edition today. I was kind of dissapointed when I opened the box. Pandora's box isn't "hand crafted" like they claim. The paint job isn't particularly fantastic either. HOWEVER, with talking Kratos standing beside it, it's totally worth it. Now I just have to wait another 4 hours for my girlfriend to come over so we can finally play the damn game...

Played through it in one sitting. I was disappointed with the last 1/4th of it because of the repetitive hole-flying and the not-fun labyrinth. But, overall, I was happy with the game. Kill everyone, right?

Re: God of War III
Getting it this weekend. Off work all next week on a staycation, so I'll be playing it quite a bit in the coming days. Thought the E3 demo was pretty great. Can't wait for more.
Re: God of War III
I beat it last night and thought both these parts were great. I also thought the ending scenes were all very well done/memorable. An excellent game, my early GOTY favorite.CaptainWeasel wrote:Played through it in one sitting. Like I do with most games, I played it on the default (god) difficulty - and it felt much easier than 1 or 2 - anyone think the same thing? Most of my deaths were due to cheap jumping issues (unregistered double jumps, etc.). The majority of the battles (including boss fights and the labyrinth stuff) were quite manageable this time around.
Re: God of War III
I just defeated Hermes and I'm finding it harder and harder to play through the game. It's actually disturbingly brutal. It's violent to the point where I'm actually uncomfortable.
Re: God of War III
But I thought the target audience loved gore and shit.

Re: God of War III
The visceral combat and overwhelming sense of scale that have become the hallmarks of this brutal franchise have been pushed further than ever before in God of War III, creating an experience so focused and explosively fun that it's hard to put down, and even harder to forget.
