Personally, I liked 1 more than 2, so I'd finish it first. It baffles me that people would quit at the Phazon mines, that's my second favorite level (behind Phendrana of course).

Your better off finding out where you are in part I and finish that before moving on. Thats what I would suggest. I was going to do the same thing as you and skip part I but I stepped up, finished Prime I and was glad I did.

I didn't stop due to difficulty. I didn't find the game all that hard. I just sorta forgot about the game. I forget where i was. Last thing i can remember is being in some room ...... Looked on youtube... this is about where i was in the game

And no i didn't use a walk through lol. I just looked through that now to find where i was. Guess i was pretty far :(

If thats the room you were near then you stopped right after the hardest part.

You should just finish it, you don't have much more left at all.

I'm usually a believer in that philosophy (earlier games first) but usually only when story continuity is important to me. For example, FF7 and FF10 are unrelated, but the same series. I played Prime and Prime 2 in order, but I've never beat Super Metroid (burn me at the stake, I know the great shame of this), mainly because the story is secondary to the exploration personally.

I just got my guide and thank god for it. Usually I like a game that lets me know what is coming or else alot of character development. This game doesnt really have that. Lots of exploring and back tracking. Im quite sure I would quit before beating it, without the guide. I just dont have the patience any longer to figure this totally out. I have waaay to many games now. My $.02

I have never used a guide or walk through for a game... But what i might do is DL a nice PDF guide and just start from the beginning, blaze through it so i can try 2.

I have, mostly for my RPG's, FFVII, 8, 9, 10...

Id rather get a guide and continue on, versus quiting the game because i got stuck on a certain part and not wanting to visit the game again. I try to stay anti guide, but sometimes id rather continue on. I really dont find it fun playing for 3 - 5 hours trying to figure out what is "next". Ill explore for an hour or two after that i start getting frustrated, after 5 hours its either i go online and try to find what to do next or get a guide. Prime has to many, "whats next" scenario's for me. So i got the guide.

No offense but i find it funny when people say they don't know what to do next in Prime. It constantly tells you where you need to go (which i found extremely annoying). Also, if its something like you cant figure out how to get there it usually just involves using the last power up you got. hehe
