That's the one thing I wish they'd get right this time around. Not really keeping my hopes up, though.SplashChick wrote:The only problem is that we know the netcode is gonna suck hard.
King of FIghters XIII Announced!

Re: King of FIghters XIII Announced!
Didn't they fix the netcode? Or does it still suck even after all the patches?
I haven't even played KOFXII because it's still absurdly over-priced. I've never seen it anywhere under $70. And none of the video stores where I have memberships stock it for rental.
Part of me just wants to wait for XIII now, since it seems impossible that it wouldn't be an improvement.

i love me some king of fighters!
Re: King of FIghters XIII Announced!
If they offer enough to do in single-player (Challenge Modes, unlockables, etc.), then it wouldn't be as big a problem for some people.SplashChick wrote:The only problem is that we know the netcode is gonna suck hard.
It's just that when all there is to do is fight, and the online play may as well not be there - yeah, I can see a problem. I still liked the game, but it was only enjoyable with local 2-Player.
Hopefully, Ignition will have enough testicular fortitude to hound SNK to make sure the netcode is decent enough for world-wide play.

Re: King of FIghters XIII Announced!
I actually just had a dream last night about Samurai Shodown Seven in KOFXII style. One of those "Nocturnal Emission" dreams.
Seriously, I'd cake my pants if I ever saw SS7 looking like that. If SNK knew what was good for them, they'd make a SS7 that looked like KOFXII and played like/had all the characters from SS2. At least where I live, SS2 was the biggest rival to SF2 - and in many areas, was more popular than SF2.

Anyone else think SNK landed a goldmine with sprites? I still love all the old school sprites, and I do love Guilty Gear and Blazblue, but I thought KOFXII's sprites were some of the most beautiful I've seen. They might start a revolution in sprites maybe?

Unless KOFXIII does well, I don't think so.Veno wrote:Anyone else think SNK landed a goldmine with sprites? The only thing that will actually start a trend is if it proves to be profitable.
