You can convert SCART fairly easily.
I've looked into converters, the ones I found use Component ports, which I only have one set of.

Ive been really wanting to do this with my Saturn (in the US), but not totally convinced it is worth the 300 dollars for a decent box to make it happen yet.

If I was rich, I'd be all over it.

Sorry I have no useful contribution

There are SCART to HDMI converters as well. You could also get a component switch to get more connections out of that single input if you needed to.

Both of my HDMI ports are already filled. :P

I think I'll have to go this route.

From reading the thread I thought the solution was to get a new TV.

Um, no. There isn't anything wrong with the TV. As stated the following systems are outputting to it via SCART w/o issue:

PS2
XBOX
DC

Only Saturn has an issue

I did some googling and the closest i came to an answer is the saturn scart signal is RGB. And the tv i had problem with only had one A/V channel.

My current crt tv has A/V,RGB and S-Video channels and i can use either the Av or Rgb channel for my saturn without problems.

PhilExile wrote:Hello,

I'm having a problem with the SCART output from my Sega Saturn. The horizontal screen position is shifted about 1/2 inch to the left, so there is a black bar on the right side. I've tested with other systems (PS2, DC, and Xbox) and they do not have this issue.

Has anyone else had this issue? Any suggestions on a fix?

Thanks in advance
I run SCART through a converter box (SCART to YUV) and component cable from that to my HD TV...effin pictures are fabulous. For most sega systems it it THE best option, other than VGA for the DC
