Its no problem, my friend. I noticed right away and did the 32 bit version in the related downloads. The "did not install" message was with the proper version, so I don't know really, but...
Update - Mame32 DOES understand the trigger buttons as buttons instead of analog, so I just added my Winkawaks directories to Mame32 for 6 button usage on those Capcom roms. Only thing is that I really enjoy all the graphic enhancements in Winkawaks. Whether I want better picture or SF pad usage will just depend on my mood I guess.

You could try a keyboard remapper. PPJoy and Joy2Key are the two most common (atleast in my neck of the woods). What they do is let you map when you press a key on the joypad to a key on the keyboard.

Good point fast I forgot about that. I've used joy2key plenty of times when certain controllers have misbehaved. Highly recommended!
