Some friends of mine have discovered that a game in my Sega Saturn collection is of the "So Bad, It's Good" variety. I originally cast it off because it seems so bad, yet everytime I play it with a large good of friends (with or without alcohol, although it seems to enhance it), we play it for hours laughing our asses off.

Classic Game Room HD did a review of it. Must be seen.

I used to have Rise of the Robots for the SNES... *shudder*

I never really played it, but I always got a kick out of watching OTHER people play it... especially if they don't know what to expect!

Fire Warrior is among the least scoring games in my PS2 library (64% on Metacritic) but I enjoyed it thoroughly. I suppose I wouldn't have given the PC version the same treatment however.

Fire Warrior wasn't bad as much as it was just plain generic.

I remember Rugrats Scavenger Hunt. It was a pretty bad game. To add my really awful games I played a lot as a kid, I raise you all a Legacy of Goku (first one, where you could only attack in four directions, fly for three squares, and get killed by snakes), and Yu-Gi-Oh: Dark Duel Stories (where a Kuriboh could kill a Blue Eyes White Dragon)

I love Cy Girls, even though it's dreadful all the way from the title. "Cy Girls" .

Also, grill me for the this if you must, but in my mind, the only joy a person can get out of the English version of Shenmue is that of the ironic kind, as in, "so bad it's good".

Also, I've been playing through Xenogears again lately, wondering every step of the way why I'm bothering. Something keeps me chugging through it, but the gameplay could arguably be described as "terrible", in that it's kind of a lot like math homework.

Tattoos Assassins was the first thing that came to mind. The game was terrible but I can't help but liking the game because of how bad it is, I think it was all the fatalities you could do that really want me to play the game over and over again.

I don't think there is a video game equivalent of THE ROOM, but with all the exposure retro games are getting, we might find one soon.

But what a great topic. Shitty games. Definitely subjective.

The worst game I've ever played has to be Batman:Dark Tomorrow. Everything about the game is awful. I remember when purchasing it the clerk at Game Stop said, "You've got to be a really big fan of Batman". The game really is terrible.

I do LOVE some games that others hate.
Dracula on Sega CD. I absolutely adore that game. Yeah, the cut scenes are awful, the animation of John is downright laughable, but the music and environments make up for it. As a kid, the game blew me away. I wish I had learned about it earlier, but the d-r-a-c-u-l-a is also very clever.

You can also count me in as a fan of almost every game featured in AVGN episodes.

I really liked Unlimited Saga and Romancing Saga for some reason. Both scored very low by reviewers but I just really liked the open ended, brutally difficult gameplay and art style.

I've actually beaten Rise of the Robots. It is absolutely terrible. It's up there with Street Combat...which, sadly, I have also beaten.

As long as the game is playable, I can get enjoyment out of it with friends.

To copout: Daikatana is a terrible terrible game in single player. The AI is piss poor and they like to run into combat, and get stuck on/in walls. BUT when played in coop with two other people, the game goes from being terrible to being silly. The last time I played it with a full party was at a lanparty and all three of us tried to use the signature weapon the entire game. Which if you have played the game you should know that if one person is leveling the sword it works out, with three people trying to it falls flat - not enough exp for it. But we were laughing and had a good old time with it.

Shaqfu is probably the most hated game that I actually get enjoyment out of playing properly. It is a terrible fighting game by any standards, but it is like a precursor to the VS series.
