I think Super GnG is quite a bit easier than GnG except at the very end. The continues are effectively endless (although you can't ever stockpile more than 9) - except if you get stuck in the 2nd part just before the Hydra where there are no bags of $, or in the last stage / Final Boss where you can't stock up before dying.Dylan wrote: Yes, the necessary special weapon is also terrible (of course). I don't believe that you have to beat the games in the Maximo series more than once, though.
I went through the game twice (as required) and only loaded up on the special weapon as late as I could i.e. the last stage - used mostly the Crossbow until then. The Magic Weapon especially sucks in Super GnG... In the 2nd run I had tremendous difficulty defeating the 2 "bosses" just before the Final Boss, whereas it had been ok (I would even say easy) with the crossbow in my 1st run. The timer put some real pressure as going through that last stage with the Magic weapon was taking me a lot of time and when you reach the bosses the timer is rather low.
The Final Boss wasn't too hard, although it took me some lives figuring it out. Here your patience and the timer is the only enemy as it isn't hard to avoid the attacks if you don't try to hit him back.
