Did you buy Shenmue and Shenmue 2? it may be that this is actually a full game, with a sequel already planned.corn619 wrote:Considering I saw about 3 seconds of gameplay footage in the trailer, I really don't think theres enough info to make a opinion about it yet. The fact its DL only really kills it for me though. Also it says episode 1, and I have a bad feeling you'll have to pay extra to play the whole game which would be fucking bullshit. As much as I loved Final Fantasy IV, I refused to play the sequel on Wii due to Squareenix's price gouging pay per episode structure. Lets hope Sega doesn't go this route.

There isn't near enough information to pass any kind of judgment on the game.
I don't mind the new style though. Outside of his running animation, it looks pretty solid to me.

I realize this. Like I said in my first post, I HOPE they don't go the Squareenix route by breaking the game up and overcharging for 20 mins of gameplay. Shenmue 1 was a full game, Final Fantasy IV The After Years episode 1 was not. I like I said there isn't enough info to formulate opinions yet so we'll see.Ack wrote:Did you buy Shenmue and Shenmue 2? it may be that this is actually a full game, with a sequel already planned.corn619 wrote:Considering I saw about 3 seconds of gameplay footage in the trailer, I really don't think theres enough info to make a opinion about it yet. Personally I feel this is more of Sonic Rush Project than the Classic look of Sonic. The first and formost important factor is to make sonic likable from the first. They still give him a maine of hair instead of his spiky old self.
I don't know if any of you have seen a particular screenshot of a Sonic HD screenshot that has been rumored to be a screen for project needlemouse, I wish it were! Apparently its created from a Fan. This is what Sonic should look like too me. The game looks incredible. Get this guy hired with SEGA!
Hopefully the link works.

Sonic Unleashed was in the right direction if they left out....... the Werehog, Human Interaction, Level Up menu crap items, the storyline and added Robotnick's Badnicks. Where are the days where you can push start and gets you right into playing the game. Refering to Sonic 1, right when you push start you are ready to go. Graphically, Sega can do better with Sonic 4. I think the game will be fun to play and see where it goes, but to me, sadly this seems to be just a Sonic Rush with better graphics.

Exactly. If you want to think technically. Sonic 3 alone was episode 1 and S&K's was episode 2 if you catch my drift.Ack wrote:Did you buy Shenmue and Shenmue 2? it may be that this is actually a full game, with a sequel already planned.corn619 wrote:Considering I saw about 3 seconds of gameplay footage in the trailer, I really don't think theres enough info to make a opinion about it yet. I find it funny they are advertising it as HD... yet its on the Wii too.
I am looking forward to getting this on the Wii, but I will save my rants of rage or praise for when I play it or see more gameplay footage.

I'm glad that it's going to be on the Wii, but I'm disappointed that it's not going the 2d route like Mega Man 9.
Re: Project Needlemouse (Sonic 4) Thoughts, opinions
i know i will buy it, but i'm sad its only downloadable, i want it in a classic sega genesis case.

does anyone have a link to this stuff? namely the trailer?
Re: Project Needlemouse (Sonic 4) Thoughts, opinions
I think they should have made Sonic 4 a 16-bit game, although HD graphics will capture a much wider audience.
