I think I get what he's saying Luke. By putting, "so it wasn't we copied the basic idea", he's trying to say that "the reason she gave us a bad grade wasn't because we copied the basic idea". I think he just typed it in a way that could be read either way.

Either way, the teacher does sound a bit like a bee-yotch. Lucky for you that she quit, eh?

Yeah, you're right there, but notice how I said that she didn't see the movie. So she didn't know. It was just a bitch move by a bitch teacher.

Also, getting more in-depth into it.

Notice how we are at a track field, in public, with what looks like real weapons. While none of them were, we could have gotten into a lot of trouble by having things like that in public, so we planned before time, as one of my friends dad's is a cop, and he just conveniently lives across the street from there.

Now with that in mind listen to this.

We had the ok to have our props out in public like that, we had the ok from a police sergant, and that bitch of a teacher not only fails us, she goes to the principle and tries to get us huge fines for having "weapons" in public. After having the cop come and say it was ok and he knew about it, she tried to get the principle to at least suspend us, which she said was unethical since all we did was have fun with a project.

She quit shortly after.

But all in all, it was a fun video to make. 8)
