Does anyone even still have a land line 56k telephone line with an internet connection? I am all for a new dc game but this online play will never see the light of day!

Don't DSL connections have a 56K connection for backup purposes?

I don't remember anything being mentioned for any of the different DSL services I've had over the years.

Maybe it was just the service(s) I saw. I remember when my family was looking for a highspeed connection, one of the DSL services said something about a backup dial-up connection.

You all seem to be missing the point of how important online play is to the Dreamcast. We haven't had a new online game for the system since it's cancellation, and only a handful of games are available online now, through convulted methods. An online game is the absolute best thing that can happen to the Dreamcast at this point.

if it comes out i will be buying the game with out a doubt. If it has online play i will be very happy. my only problem is at the moment im not really sure i can get my DC to go online. and i don't have the DC DSL modum since it's kinda expensive.

How much are the broadband adapters worth. I ran across one for free and did not know it was worth money.

While a new online dreamcast game would be great, I am not going to get my hopes up for it. I just look forward to a new rpg!! If the online does happen though then it is all
the more reason to get a PC-DC server going!

You don't need a working dial-up connection to get online with the modem. See: http://www.ryochan7.com/blog/2009/07/11 ... iguration/

You can also do this with older versions of Windows (Windows 98 I think). I don't think it works in XP...at least I've never tried. The linux method works fine though and the speeds are more than bearable.

Looking forward to a new online game. Hell I may play some PSO this weekend now that you guys have brought up online DC games.
