I was on phone detail for niece birth, but yeah we are all fine.
As for the question:
This is what happens when you have Expanded Universe (EU) take over after the creator has let their product sit. Back when A New Hope came out they released the bad motivator droid as a toy named R5-D4 (
http://shop.ebay.com/i.html?_nkw=r5+d4& ... rom=&_ipg=). It is unknown if the screen writer or actor flubbed that R5 was an R2 (some speculate that it was done intentionally to show that Luke was just a simple farmer - I call this EU hogwash). But if you want to get into EU statements, the R5 were created to be budget minded R2s.
In Attack of the Clones Obiwan uses an R4, which looks strikingly similar to an R2, but is an older model than the R5. Actually that model R4-P17 is considered female.
And there are several R4s in the old Trilogy, but they have peaked heads instead of domes:
R4-E1 is seen in Mos Eisley (Red and White like R5-D4)
R4-M9 is seen in the Death Star (in a more Imperial Black and White color scheme)
Wookiepedia has more information on this than you will ever care to know
