It kills an average of 0 people a year, while alcohol and tobacco combined kill over 400,000 a year, and this is not including accidents while under the influence of alcohol. These dangers and problems arise as result of prohibition.

I am not referring to marijuana itself, but the problems caused by people trying to obtain it. It is a fact that drugs are illegal, correct? Yet people still continue to purchase them. People obtain it from people who illegally grow it in the United States and in Mexico. Mexico is like Afghanistan at the moment, it is literally a war zone! The fact is people die process of trafficking drugs into the United States. The drug lords in Mexico buy military armaments with the drug money. They kill and kidnap innocent people to retain their dominance in the region. You also have gangs in the U.S. who have shootouts in the streets to retain dominance in the street as well.
