Those are just the printed stencils up for a test fit I believe.MrPopo wrote:Why isn't the logo blue? Looks really good otherwise.

Re: Sega Logo on my wall
yeah it's just a test fit at the moment. Just waiting for the adhesive blue vinyl to turn up - which it should tomorrow.
Those wall stickers are pretty cool. Kind of out of my budget though and I dunno what the shipping outside the USA would be, but they look very cool up on the wall all the same.

I look forward to seeing the finished SEGA lettering. I think it's an awesome idea for decorating.

Re: Sega Logo on my wall
It's done!
Here's the stencil being used to trace the 'S' onto the back of the vinyl. I had to do this for every letter, being really careful.

Here's the completed 'S' and half of the 'E' up on the wall. The other letters are still made of paper at this stage.

Once I'd cut out the letter in blue vinyl, I had to trace round the stencil on the wall as well, so I had the right idea where to stick the vinyl. Here you can see where I've penciled in where the rest of the 'E' should be stuck.

In this photo it's all done apart from the last bit of the 'A'. You can see where I've penciled on the wall where it should be stuck.

Here's how it looks finished:

It took 2-3 hours to do the whole process. Drawing it out on the back of the vinyl, cutting it out and making sure it was stuck on the wall in the right place was quite time consuming. Overall however I think it looks pimpin' and I'm happy with how it turned out. The blue colour is maybe a little darker than I'd hoped, but it's good all the same I think. Maybe I'll do a Nintendo logo on the other door.

That looks gorgeous! I want one, now, too!
Perhaps you should cover it all with a transparent layer of sorts to prevent it from peeling, but I wouldn't know what to use for that.

Oh wow, that's real pro! Good work! Too bad you can't mass produce those. I'm sure we'd have a market for that on these boards.

That was exactly my thought! This looks awesome, so good job and now I want to do it myself with my favorite companies...Upsidedown Fuji wrote:Oh wow, that's real pro! Good work! Too bad you can't mass produce those. I'm sure we'd have a market for that on these boards.

I find it ironic that the guy with an N64 avatar has put a Sega logo on his wall.

Hmm, now that looks cool.
I would have left the letters in black while slightly jutting out from the wall and fit some small, dim, blue cold cathode lights behind it for a soft glow against the wall, though.
