The Game Boy Advance versions gameplay are pretty much the same as the SNES, although I found that the handling in those games both differ. If you like the SNES version, and want more F-Zero games like the SNES version, then the GBA versions are the way to go.Incognito D wrote:I actually prefer the gameplay of the SNES original over the more recent 2, however it could do with more racers and a 2-player mode- then it would be perfect
How are the Game Boy Advance versions? Are they similar to the Super Nintendo?

i will agree on gx. hard as hell in story mode but very fun. it truly showed what f-zero tracks could be.

Re: Best f-Zero game?
The original F-Zero on the Super Nintendo is VERY cool, and is a really awesome piece of software for the SNES, but even though we're all retro-gamers here we can all agree that F-Zero GX offers a far more robust experience with its intricate courses, massive loops, blistering speed, and perhaps most vital to the genre: multi-player. Plus it was made by Amusement Vision, the Sega division who made the Daytona USA and Monkey Ball series, and NO ONE makes an arcade racer like Sega.

I like GX the most, it was solid through and through. The SNES title is a great, but I was never a fan of Mode7 racers. FzeroX is one that I do not have enough experience with, but I hope to change that in a few weeks.

Re: Best f-Zero game?
I love All F-Zero games, if you can get a hold of climax, take my advice and do that, its a hell of a lot of content for a GBA game.
My personal favorite, X slightly overshadows GX for me... But they are all awesome games.

Re: Best f-Zero game?
Damn am I the only one here who prefers F-Zero X over the other console versions? Admittedly it was my original introduction to the series, but damn it's a great game. I don't know how many hours I spent playing that when I was younger, and the multiplayer was friggin' excellent. F-Zero GX is pretty amazing too, but to me it didn't quite have the epic soul of X. Maybe it's because of the lack of the 90's speed metal intro.

Re: Best f-Zero game?
GX, definitely, but all of them are very good.
Re: Best f-Zero game?
Honestly i could never enjoy any of the older F-zero games. i played them well before F-zero X and GX but i didn't really care for the series until x showed up. maybe it was the mode7 that turned me off. i have never really liked snes mode7 racing games as much.

Re: Best f-Zero game?
I bet most people who haven't answered F-Zero GX haven't played the Time Trial mode, which is the best. You have to use techniques to beat the staff ghosts, and the game gets very technical.
