Those all look great. I've played Gradius II before, but it must have been on another system or something. I'll be on the lookout for the import NES version for sure.
Re: Never seen one like this before.
crazy...Nintendo stopped producing the Famicom in September 2003 because secondary companies were no longer manufacturing the parts Nintendo needed.

I had that same convertor. Sold it to my friend since I have a famicom but from what my friend says it works extremely well.
As for some good famicom exclusives may I recommend:
Holy Diver-think MegaMan mixed with Castlevania, very fun and challenging
Joy Mech Fight-very good 8-bit fighter

Wow, Holy Diver looks fun! I wonder why it was never brought stateside.

Don't mean to bump an old topic, but I finally picked up Splatterhouse Wanpaku Graffiti. I tried to get this converter to work for an hour before realizing that I had to insert the Famicom cartridge into the converter backwards... works like a charm though!
I also picked up Kid Dracula and Wai Wai World to mess around with. I've been on the hunt for Holy Diver but I can't find it anywhere.

Such a great game. A tad bit short but I love the humor and gameplay.jfe2 wrote:Don't mean to bump an old topic, but I finally picked up Splatterhouse Wanpaku Graffiti. Also if someone REALLY wanted to play the Famicom Disk System you can use a converter along with a game genie. You have to remove the top of the system and it looks like crap (even worse than the Sega Genesis/Cd/32X combo) but it works (from what I can remember).
