So the eBay seller who I got the red and gold Retro Duo from just e-mailed me to let me know he doesn't have any left in stock... Even though the listing said he had ten available. He offered another color or a refund, but I asked for a refund based on principle. Why list that you have ten of something in stock when you have none?! That's not even a simple mistake, its HUGE!

Meh, I'll just buy one from another seller. I'm still a bit pissed. I did just get a shipping confirmation e-mail for my Gen X, so today wasn't all bad news.

Ugh, I hate when that happens. Reminds me of a time I got lucky and won an Ebay auction for a nice PS2 arcade stick, at a very low price. Sure enough, the seller told me he didn't have any in stock so no cheap stick for me.

And another time I remember the same thing happening with the Dreamcast Virtual On Twin Stick. I bet these fuckers just didn't want to sell their stuff so cheap and lied their way outta it. Does Ebay have rules to protect against this sort of thing?

None that I know of. :(

The funny thing is, now I see those gold Retro Duos on eBay for at least $80. He probably saw how much they were going for and decided to up his prices.

I think buying a 2-in-1 or 3-in-1 clone is a great idea. If your a collector you should still get the original. The main reason I was thinking of getting a clone was to reduce clutter around my tv and to prevent anymore wear and tear on my consoles. This is probably the appeal for most collectors.
